Is charging your phone overnight bad for you battery life?

You must have heard this or thought about this for sure that charging your phone overnight will reduce the life of battery. We all love to see our phone fully charged when we wake up but "overcharging shortens the life of battery" thing just keep hovering over mind and we often don't charge overnight even if we want. Let's find out the truth.

Battery used in all modern smartphones and tablets are Lithium-ion battery. They have built-in circuits that cut power once the battery is fully charged. If you notice or some of you have already noticed, they charge really quick to the first like 80% and then they start to charge slow in the last 20%. That's because of smart circuit in Lithium-ion batteries rejecting the charge. This way no matter how much time you leave your phone for charging it will never overcharge.

So now you know. Just leave the phone overnight for charging and sleep in peace.
