1. You shouldn't charge your battery overnight

People always tell you should not charge your device overnight, it will overcharge your device and shorten the life of your battery but the reality is it's false. Modern smartphones today are able to protect themselves from overcharging. I'm sure you also have noticed the speed of the charging of the phone slows down when it's over 80%. It's because Lithium-ion batteries know it's about to charge and slows down and completely cuts off after 100%.

2. Don't use your device while it's charging

This myth is very famous among social sites and you can see some photos where the phone blowing up in someone's hand or face while they were using it and charging it at the same time. And most of the photos you see is complete rubbish, people just post and share without proper knowledge and you can see same person is in different accidents. Although we can't exactly predict how and when the accident may happen but it's almost certainly not going to happen because you're just simply charging and using it.

3. Long initial charge before using any Lithium-ion battery for the first time

Poeple believe that you should charge 100% if it's new phone/tablet/laptop. I don't know how people came to know about this myth but this is also not true. You don't need to wait for hours to get fully charged to use your new device. You can use the phone immediately after straight out of the box no matter how much charge is left.
