Google launches the new mobile data-saving app: Datally
If it’s just for our personal entertainment or for some important work we
all need internet. We cannot be home all the time so mobile data is the
ultimate choice for accessing the internet on the go but the sad part about
this is it's expensive. And the worse is your smartphone uses data in the
background even if you’re not using it.
So to solve this problem Google launched the new mobile data-saving app
called "Datally". This app helps users to understand, control and
save data which means you can do more and worry less.
In a blog posted in "NEXT BILLION USERS", Caesar Sengupta, Vice
President of Next Billion Users Team at Google, wrote that they've been testing
Datally in the Philippines for the past few months, and people are saving up to
30 percent on their data. Now Datally is globally available on the Google PlayStore for all phones running Android 5.0 (Lollipop) and higher.
The app helps user to understand data on an hourly, daily, weekly or
monthly basis and get personalized recommendations for how you can save more.
You can turn on the Data Saver bubble to block background data usage and track
real-time usage while using each of your apps. And if an app's data usage gets
out of control you can also block data with just one tap. Not only that,
Datally will tell you if you’re near public Wi-Fi and help you connect. And to
help you to find best network to connect you can also check the ratings.
