Lenovo Z5 Pro GT: The first phone with Snapdragon 855 and 12GB RAM


The top-end phone of Lenovo, the Lenovo Z5 Pro GT launched today. This is the first smartphone to have the latest Snapdragon 855 chipset and 12GB RAM. The phone has a unique design theme similar to as of a sports car; carbon fibre pattern under the glass, red rims and metallic frame around the main camera sensors and around the screen respectively.


The Z5 Pro GT has 16 megapixel with f/1.8 aperture and 24 megapixel with f/1.8 dual rear camera setup. And when you slide the screen down, a 16 megapixel front camera and a 8 megapixel infrared camera for Face Unlock feature is visible. And between these two front camera, is an awkwardly placed earpiece.

The phone runs on ZUI 10.0 on top of Android Pie (9.0). It has a 6.4" FullHD+ AMOLED display. Lenovo Z5 Pro GT has an in-display fingerprint sensor and a 3350 mAh battery.


The phone comes in four varients, 6GB RAM/128GB ROM, 8GB/128GB, 8GB RAM/256GB ROM and the best one with 12GB RAM/512GB ROM. The price of  Lenovo Z5 Pro GT in Chine has been set at CNY 2,698 (~ US$ 390) for 6/128 GB version, CNY 2,998 (~ US$ 435) for 8/128 GB version, CNY 3,398 (~ US$ 490) for 8/256 GB variant ane CNY 4,398 (~ US$ 640) for 12/512 GB variant.

The global launch of the Lenovo Z5 Pro GT is still unknown but in China, the pre-order for this phone can be done after January 15 and will go on sale from January 24.
